Ego-states

The ego-states are what constitutes the ego. When these are over-come the ego dissipates, and spiritualism is attained. In order to over-come the ego-states discipline is necessary, this is what we call over-coming an ego-state. I'll list as many ego-states as I can, but in truth there are too many to list all of them.

Anger
Obviously quite destructive if not over-come

Hate
Like anger, but stronger and more intense

Jealousy
Also very destructive

Laziness
The resistance to doing things. The drag to do nothing. Is over-come with diligence

Gluttony
To eat more than you need

Lust
To pro-create more than you need. Is over-come with chastity

Depression
A natural response to abuse, but can be destructive if not over-come

Self-deceit
Under high pressure, you may start coming up with excuses

Pride
To always be the best. Is over-come with humility

Fear
Protective mechanism but needs to be over-come with courage every now and then, otherwise it becomes over-protective

Self-pity
When something goes wrong, self-pity may be enacted

The state of cold indifference
If you've ever felt it it sends shivers down your spine

The state of feeling powerless
Can be very challenging

Greed
To want more than you need

The cold
The freezing feeling is very un-pleasant isn't it. But you have to cope with some amounts of cold

Pain
The same as with the cold

Apathy
Can be quite hard to over-come, but important to over-come

Arrogance
When you're ignorant and you know it, you suffer from arrogance

Confusion
When you get confused, it's actually important to clear your head and try to get out of the confusion

The state of feeling meaningless
Sometimes what you do may feel meaningless, but it can still be very meaningful, and feel meaningful if you over-come this state

Boredom
Sometimes the most fun you'll have is what at first seems boring

Suffering
When things go awry you can get into suffering. It's important to not let it eat you alive.
